Glossary of Terms

The aim of the glossary is to provide a list of terms that are relevant for practice research. The list is not exhaustive and may well grow in the future, but is intended to be a useful reference point for those engaging in and/or supporting practice research. The terms may also be helpful for defining the particular characteristics and properties of practice research. The terms have been collected from those directly involved in practice research, from a range of disciplines, so is intended to be as inclusive as possible. The aim is to be clear and concise but as practice research is a broad category, the terms are sometimes also rather broad in scope. We want the glossary to be responsive and a living resource so we invite comments and suggestions for further examples.
